5, 6, 7, 8!!!
Yesterday, classes were supposedly suspended but thanks to our über-demanding Speech 121 class our weary and slack souls were mandated to perform in front of the alumni for this awarding thing.
10:30. I met up my Speech121 friends on the UP Theatre steps. And wait for the others! Still incomplete, we decided to enter the theatre so we could have an ocular of the sorta stage.
We were all wondering if were to perform in a debutante’s party. WTF.
And here’s Sarah from Journ.
And theatre actor JC mimicking David Cook.
A pretty empty shop, eh?
These are pieces of the old carillon bells, I think.
This is our ever competitive group. That’s me, JC, Sarah, Lyanne and Septy looking stressed.
And so, we lay on the floor to talk about other interesting stuff and to take happy pictures!
A few blockmates.
So our professor arrived and we rehearesed for a while. She made us libre for our bottled water and donuts. Whoopee!
These is another batch of obsolete carillon bells. Don’t you think of going near them! They stink like hell!
For OUR moment of truth, we finally dress up. As for our group, our stage play was about a UP Zoology alumnus in 1958.
Do they look familiar, like do you see your grannies in them? Lol. Their costumes, they claim, were literally unearthed from their lola’s baul. Now, that’s competitiveness.
Gossip Girl Fifties?! Nah. We’re Group One.
Presenting the Sixties…
The Seventies Group looked as if they’ve just gone from the disco. Cool! (Kulang sila though, wala si Luigi sa pic).
Feast your eyes before the group whose costumes were the hardest to bring up… The Eighties! (Bitterness ehem ehem, lol!)
And of course, my favorite pic of all… La Familia!
I have no pictures of our actual performance (nuts!). After it, we immediately dug in to the buffet. HA HA!
Don’t be deluded. That’s just sago gulaman. No joke!
There’s Ma’am TP. She’s in the middle.
In this pic, we’re obviously very kulang.
