Gotta get “Naked and Famous”

It’s the most surreal feeling listening to a song that exactly speaks of YOU, and all your aspirations. It’s what I felt when I first heard of Standing in the Way of  Control, or in a musical level, Jesus Christ Superstar (go away, preachy ones!). Those two songs, respectively, bemoan of living your life as it is, and questioning religion. This time, I’m getting goosebumps from the vibrant tune of Young Blood by The Naked and Famous.

Young Blood, from the Aussie-bred band’s Passive Me, Aggressive You album, is basically about being young and climbing ourselves out of the abyss. It’s that generation X picker-upper song for those rejected, clueless where to head next.

We’re all young and naive still

We require certain skill

The motive changes like the wind

Hard to control when it begins

The Naked and Famous (Photo Googled)

The Naked and Famous, meanwhile, is a young band already making it big on television soundtracks. Ehem, Chuck, Skins, Gossip Girl. Its other sweet, personally charming singles include The Sun, Girls Like You and Punching in a Dream.

Hi, I'm Barry Viloria, 21 and not a blogger. I occasionally bitch about what's hot, what's not, what's life-threatening and what's Blake Lively wearing but I refuse to be called a "blogger." That's it.
